Selling to businesses in the EU
Digital services to a customer with a valid EU VAT ID are usually taxed under reverse charge and reported in the recapitulative statement. A business that is not a VAT payer may need §7a registration.

Above €10,000 a year in cross-border EU B2C sales, VAT follows the customer's country. OSS lets you report it in one quarterly return — backed by evidence of customer location.
Stripe's Irish entity invoices its fees under reverse charge. A business that is not a VAT payer may need §7a registration and to pay 23% VAT on them.

FAQ
No. A payout transfers your Stripe balance to the bank — usually net of fees and refunds, and often covering many payments. Revenue is recorded per sale at its full amount; fees and refunds are recorded separately, and the payout is matched against them.
Stripe fees are recorded as an expense based on Stripe's monthly tax invoice. Stripe's Irish entity charges them under reverse charge, so the VAT is self-assessed — and a business that is not a VAT payer may need §7a registration. A refund reduces revenue, typically with a credit note; Stripe generally does not return the original fee.
Yes. Today we work with Stripe report exports — balance, payout reconciliation and fee reports — and tell you exactly which ones to download. A direct Stripe integration is in development. You do not need to install or subscribe to anything new.
Not automatically. §7a usually becomes relevant for a business that is not a VAT payer and buys services from abroad — Stripe fees included — or supplies services to EU businesses. OSS concerns B2C sales to consumers in other EU countries above €10,000 a year. It depends on what you sell, to whom, and your VAT status; we assess it at the start.
Yes. Stripe Tax calculates and collects VAT, but it does not file Slovak returns — we use its reports as input for VAT and OSS filings and check the configuration. Invoices issued through Stripe Invoicing still have to meet Slovak invoice requirements; we check that too.
No. The price is fixed for the agreed scope — one main payment provider and its standard workflows. Growth in standard payments alone does not change it. The scope changes when a new payment provider or a new recurring financial flow is added.
